Plain Text

Instructions for changing your mailing options to Plain Text. This will ensure that the listserver doesn't kick back your posting.

MS Outlook (2000): Start a new message.  In the message, click on Format, click on Plain Text, answer Yes to the pop-up box.  Continue typing your message.

MS Outlook Express:  Start a new message.  In the message, click on Format, click on Plain Text.  Continue typing your message.

Hotmail:  Start a message.  Click on Tools.  Click on "Rich-Text Editor OFF".  (If it says "Rich-Text Editor ON" then you are fine--don't change it.)

Yahoo:  Open an e-mail by clicking on Compose.  Up on top, next to the large COMPOSE sign, click on Plain.  A pop up box will ask "This will convert your message into Plain Text." Click OK.  Continue writing your message.

AOL:  Looking for how-to.

Ice Warp:  HTML is your default and can only be changed by your IT administrators.  Just send your messages HTML.

Groupwise: Looking for how-to.

If your software is not listed here, I'll be glad to add it.
